A fun site to hold a team building exercise in Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay is a charming town of approximately 12,500 people, ~30 miles south of San Francisco. A major agricultural area, the town is surrounded by fields of flowers, artichokes, brussel sprouts, Christmas trees, pumpkins and other crops, making for a breathtaking landscape. The downtown has “gentrified” in recent years, giving rise to high-end shops, boutiques and restaurants. It’s a delightful, laid-back place to explore, with many plaques and historical signage dotted around town, speaking to the area’s rich history.
Originally called Spanishtown, Half Moon Bay is perhaps the oldest settlement in San Mateo County, dating back to the 1840s. Home of Costanoan Indians and later Spanish and Mexican settlers, the town gained some notoriety during The Prohibition Era (1920 – 1933), when its hidden ocean coves and thick fog provided the ideal setting for rumrunners from Canada and for local moonshiners.
During your corporate team building treasure hunt… expect to see a sculpture of colorful birds; an old wooden jail from the early 20th century; a giant mural of a valiant surfer, and much, much more
Not every corporate team building program is the same. Depending on your group, your focus may be integrating new people into the team and breaking down personal boundaries and divisions. Or you may have an existing department where teams could, with a little practice, cooperate and communicate more smoothly across teams and divisions. Or you might simply have a group that thrives on the use of technology. Let Dr. Clue customize your hunt program by selecting the content focus that best matches your group and your needs.
