Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to create scavenger hunts in some of the world’s most interesting places: the Louvre in Paris, the streets of Dubai, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the historic Districts of Madrid, Geneva and Bologna., etc. But never in the White House. Although I have no current invitations (alas) to visit the presidential mansion in Washington, D.C. I’m nevertheless delighted to see that *someone* is “getting a clue” at the White House.
According to a recent ABC news report, while their parents were out attending inaugural balls, Tuesday night, Sasha and Malia Obama were treated to a fantastic White House scavenger hunt.
How cool is that!
Unbeknownst to the general public, the White House apparently possesses a variety of “secret passageways and hideouts”. According to Capricia Marshall, an aide to Hillary Clinton and her social secretary, “On the second floor, start pushing at some walls and you will discover they kind of pop open.”
And after solving all the treasure hunt clues, what was at the end of the Obama girls’ journey? The Jonas Brothers (!), who performed three acoustic songs and took photos with the thrilled young pair and 50 of their friends.
Ah yes, it’s good to be the President’s daughters!
