A great Teambuilding Scavenger Hunt at Sonoma State University

College hunts are always fun.   Hanging with the students.  Soaking up the campus lifestyle.   Like most colleges, Sonoma State is beautifully wooded…it’s flat…it has great food options at the student union.  There are plaques, statues and public art all around, and plentiful lawns to sit on during our debrief.   Get away from the wine tasting hoards and join us for a teambuilding scavenger hunt at Sonoma State University.

Event Description: Just off the 101 in Rohnert Park, Sonoma State University has everything you could want in a college campus treasure hunt:   trees, lawns, statues, plaques, murals, a state-of-the-art student union… It’s a great, safe location for team building, with few cars.

Location History: Founded in 1961, Sonoma State University originally opened its doors to 274 students.   By 1969 the architectural plan was really coming together, with a strong appreciation of the rural environment.  In June of 2000, the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center was completed – a prototype library/information center for the 21st century.  The campus includes 2 residential communities modeled after Italian villages and the Green Music Center, a 1,400 seat donor-funded concert hall. It’s a beautiful place, with a butterfly garden and man-made lake.

.

During your teambuilding treasure hunt… expect to encounter an ancient Japanese arch; a Vietnam War Memorial: a statue nicknamed Bacon and Eggs; a cafe dedicated to Charles Schultz;  a mural about Cesar Chavez, and much, much more.

Not every corporate team building program is the same.  Depending on your group, your focus may be integrating new people into the team and breaking down personal boundaries and divisions.    Or you may have an existing department where teams could, with a little practice, cooperate and communicate more smoothly across teams and divisions.  Or you might simply have a group that thrives on the use of technology.    Let Dr. Clue customize your hunt program by selecting the content focus that best matches your group and your needs.
