Dr. Clue’s Mission: Engendering trust, caring, empathy and team spirit,
one hunt at a time.

Meet Dr. Clue

Dr. Clue is the brainchild of Dave Blum (that handsome guy, above).

Dave holds a B.A. in English from Pomona College in Claremont, California and is a certified professional coach from IPEC (the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching). A continuing member of the North American Simulation & Gaming Association (http://www.nasaga.org/), Dave is President of Santa Rosa Toastmasters Club 182. After a three-year stint teaching English in Japan for the Mombusho English Fellows program, Dave worked in tourism and the non-profit sector before discovering his true destiny as a treasure hunt master, team-building trainer, and entrepreneur.

“I’ve been a puzzle and game nerd my whole life. Every day after school, I’d get together with my friend Mike and work our way through the game closet: Risk, Stratego, Monopoly, Sorry, The Game of Life…you name it, we played it. At the same time, I was creating mazes with pencil and paper, and later writing crossword puzzles. (My buddy Mike went on to create one of the world’s largest Magic Squares–he’s an accountant now, no surprise). I’ve always been crazy about puzzles and games. But my true passion was mysteries and treasure hunts! I read Sherlock Holmes. I read the Odyssey and mythology. I devoted long, binge-worthy hours to movies like Romancing the Stone, the Goonies, Rat Race, Harry Potter, the Da Vinci Code, and National Treasure. What can be better than solving a clue, following a trail of bread crumbs and reaching a fantastic mystery location–all in plain sight? If the hunt process can also help people improve their communication and team dynamics…perfection!.

“Thanks for dropping by Dr. Clue Treasure Hunts (and more)! The hunt for teamwork is on!”

Listen in as Dave Blum, Founder and President of Dr. Clue, talks about how he got into Dr. Clue and what it’s meant to him.

[Dr. Clue (Dave) himself is available, upon special request, for hunt program facilitation on a case-by-case basis, as well as for team and individual coaching. Scheduling 6 weeks in advance is recommended.]
