A fun place to hold a team building activity in Santa Cruz

Event Description: During this fun treasure hunt adventure, you’ll roam the streets of Downtown Santa Cruz, enjoying public art and historical signage around nearly every turn.

Location History:

Discovered in 1769 by the Spanish explorer Don Gaspar de Portola, Santa Cruz is Spanish for “Holy Cross”.  A few years later, in 1791, the 12th California mission was established here.  By 1900, logging, lime processing, agriculture, and commercial fishing industries prospered in the area. Due to its mild climate and scenic beauty, Santa Cruz also became a prominent resort community.  Santa Cruz was hard hit by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake that killed three people. It was also hit by ocean surges caused by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

A progressive city, Santa Cruz became one of the first cities to approve marijuana for medicinal use, in 1992. In 1998, the Santa Cruz community declared itself a nuclear-free zone.

Today, downtown Santa Cruz is pleasant place for a stroll, with a strong California vibe and plentiful restaurant and shopping options.

During your hunt:  Expect to encounter…a giant whale mural…a wall of hubcaps…the Monster of Monterey…A Starving Musician, and much, much more.

Not every corporate team building program is the same.  Depending on your group, your focus may be integrating new people into the team and breaking down personal boundaries and divisions.    Or you may have an existing department where teams could, with a little practice, cooperate and communicate more smoothly across teams and divisions.  Or you might simply have a group that thrives on the use of technology.    Let Dr. Clue customize your hunt program by selecting the content focus that best matches your group and your needs.
