In light of the budget limitations inherent in this tough economy, my staff and I have been working diligently these last few months creating an array of low-cost team building activities. Since the fall, we’ve come up with three non-facilitated, DIY (do-it-yourself) team building exercises that we’re extremely proud of:
- The Puzzling Networking Game: 90-minutes of team puzzle-solving in an indoor, cocktail party setting
- The Puzzling Scavenger Hunt: Two hours of clue-solving around town with digital cameras
- The Puzzling Bar Crawl: Two hours of clue-solving at your favorite local taverns
All three have done so well, in fact, that we’re looking now to create even more DIY hunts — which is where we need your help! Below are just a few of Dr. Clue’s latest scavenger hunt ideas; please let me know which ones really sound exciting or useful to you:
A) The DIY Hotel/Resort Scavenger Hunt
–Clues that lead you to sites within a typical hotel or resort (ie. the
pool, the fitness room, the business center)
B) The DIY Workplace Scavenger Hunt
–Clues that lead you to sites within a typical workplace or corporate
campus (ie. the copy room, the lunch room, the boss’ office)
C) The DIY Shopping Mall Scavenger Hunt
–Clues that lead you to sites within a typical shopping mall (ie. the
food court, the sunglasses shop, the stationery store)
Got other treasure hunt ideas? We’d love to hear them!
