A scenic place to hold a team building scavenger hunt in Los Gatos

Event Description
: A fun and diverse teambuilding location, close to San Jose yet worlds away, downtown Los Gatos today has retained and restored many of its Victorian-era homes and commercial buildings. Here you can find Michelin-starred restaurants, cafes galore, antique shops and boutique shopping…along with a killer treasure hunt/teambuilding event.

Location History: Founded in the mid-1850s with the building of a flour operation, Forbes Mill, the settlement changed to Los Gatos after a Spanish land grant. An important town for the logging industry in the Santa Cruz Mountains through the end of the 19th century, Los Gatos later became a thriving agricultural town with apricots, grapes and prunes being grown in the area. By the 1920s it had a local reputation as an arts colony, attracting painters, musicians, writers, actors and their bohemian associates as residents over the years. The violinist Yehudi Menuhim lived there as a boy; the actresses Joan Fontaine and Olivia de Havilland (sisters) were graduates of Los Gatos High School, John Steinbeck wrote Grapes of Wrath there, and Beat hero Neal Cassady lived there in the 1950s.

During your teambuilding treasure hunt… expect to see an enigmatic wall of dogs; a visit to Old Town, a tree named after a holiday and much, much more.

Here’s Dr. Clue himself, Dave Blum, sharing his thoughts about this teambuilding scavenger hunt:

Not every corporate team building program is the same.  Depending on your group, your focus may be integrating new people into the team and breaking down personal boundaries and divisions.    Or you may have an existing department where teams could, with a little practice, cooperate and communicate more smoothly across teams and divisions.  Or you might simply have a group that thrives on the use of technology.    Let Dr. Clue customize your hunt program by selecting the content focus that best matches your group and your needs.
